Church Family,
The Crossroads pastoral team spent the day meeting and seeking Jesus for how we move forward as a church in light of recent developments regarding COVID-19. We have decided the best practice for us is to close the campus to in-person gatherings. We will be broadcasting services online and hope to bring more frequent content to our congregation throughout the week. Please stay tuned for that. Our children's and youth ministry pastors are working to put together content to help keep your kiddos engaged and in the word during this time. Join us Sundays at 10am for church online, you can even wear your PJ's! Please continue to rally with us in prayer for our state, our nation and world. We believe in a God of miracles.

**** UPDATE 3-13-2020 5:00pm****

As changes are happening in our communities, the church leaders are prayerfully considering how to move forward as a church and the appropriate next steps to take.

As of March 12th, Thurston County has placed a ban on all gathering larger than 250 people as well as restrictions and guidelines for those choosing to gather under the 250-person threshold.

How does this effect crossroads?

Sunday Morning Gathering effective this Sunday 3/16/2020

Though we are able to gather without much change within the recommended guidelines we want to make faith filled and practical decision on how we gather. We are taking the safety of our congregation into great consideration and believe it is wise to implement changes and recommendations into how we gather. Therefore, we will continue to have our in-person service but ask that if you fall into one of the at-risk categories of Covid-19 to please consider staying home. If you are ill or not feeling well, please take the week off and get well. To help accommodate those people who may miss out on our in person gathering this weekend we will be Live Streaming the service online on our website as well as Facebook. We have also chosen to postpone our annual baked potato feed. We will still have Kids church this Sunday but will be taking extra sanitization steps within our classrooms and will not be handing out snacks. We will also not be setting out cookies after service as usual but will continue to provide coffee and tea as well as have the coffee cart remain open. We want to be safe and practical in these times. We hope that if you cannot make it to our gathering or choose to stay home that you will join us for an online church experience.

Other Gatherings:

Women’s Bible Study

Registration is still open for Women’s Bible Study and we are still planning to start the new study April 1st.

Sunday Night Youth Service

This week we will meet as normal. We won’t have our usual Snack free for all after service and will be discussing the possibilities of online services.

****Update 3-13-2020 ****

As changes are happening in our communities, the church leaders are prayerfully considering how to move forward as a church and the appropriate next steps to take.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” Jeremiah 29:11

We will provide updates about church events and services on our Facebook and church website.

****Update 3-11-2020****

Here is what the Pastoral Team at Crossroads Church is working on:

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-7

In-person services are continuing as normal, join us at 10 am on Sunday.

Practical steps we are taking in response to recommendations by experts -

  • If you’re sick, stay home until you are well.  We want you back healthy.  Audio is available on our website.  Other options may be coming.
  • We encourage people to smile and nod instead of handshake and hug. We know that’s difficult for our friendly congregation, but its wise.
  • The church facilities are being regularly cleaned and sanitized for you and your children.
  • Online giving is always available at Crossroads Giving.
Check back to this page for the latest in updates about services gathering and all things pertaining to the impact of Covid-19 in our Community.
If you would like to hear about church updates, you are invited to sign-up for email communications.  This email newsletter will be used solely for updates about our church services and events.

We will be posting to our website and church Facebook account in addition to using the email list.
